At KNR, we not only upgrade products used for research and innovation, but also realize the vision of new industrial technology for the future.
Our main research has been the development of core hydraulic components, such as linear and rotary actuators, hydraulic servo valves that improve precision and control, and a hydraulic “mobile power unit” that supplies hydraulic power. We develop and test these components for the use in various hydraulic robots, including wearable robots, multi-leg walking robots, and robotic arms. In addition, successful development of compact hydraulic components has played a critical role in increasing the importance of KNR’s hydraulic robots for use in hazardous environments, such as rescue, offshore, and heavy industries.
Aside from hydraulic robots, we are or have been involved in extensive research and development in a variety of field robots, such as: a robot for cleaning swimming pools, a robot used for detected damage inside gas pipes while the pipes are being used, and other robots for a wide variety of applications. We have also expanded into the biomedical field, developing a DNA extraction and testing device and a point-of-service testing device.
KNR’s expansion of this market targets promising, high-value sectors such as bioengineering, defense, and aerospace industries.
