KNR is currently doing ongoing research working jointly with university labs, with the goal of raising quality and performance standards for testing and simulation devices to be the best in the world. KNR has installed a large-size shaking table, which can hold structures weighing up to 30 tons. The table can be used to test and demonstrate earthquake simulation technology that simulates earthquakes with 2 to 6 degrees of freedom. KNR Research Center is researching control algorithms that can be used for these kinds of shaking tables.
