The hydraulic linear actuator was designed to be small and high-powered to be suitable for hydraulic robots. Each model was made to be applied according to the user’s needs.
The linear actuator (LS-, LC- series) is used to create linear movement. It can also create rotary movement if additional links are used.
The hydraulic linear actuator is applied to the linear movement component of a robot, or makes rotary movements using links that cause rotary movements of the joints. It is also easy to set up the link widths more tightly and compactly than the vane-type rotary actuator. The standard power of this actuator ranges from 5 ~ 20 kN (1122 ~ 4489 lbf) at 210 bar (3045 psi), but customized production is available in several volumes and forms.
It is easier to make light and small compared to the hydraulic rotary actuator, but since the torque changes according to the rotation location, the user must be careful when placing it. The servo valves, position sensors, and pressure sensors combined show superior feedback control performance. It was developed into single rod and double rod types according to the range of motion and purpose of control.
The linear actuator has two models – the LS series and the LC series. Models in the LC series is heavier than models in the LS series of the same volume, but they are lower in cost.
In the future, KNR SYSTEM plans to develop and release a smart actuator that combines a controller, hydraulic servo valves, and sensors as an addition to the hydraulic linear actuator product line. In accordance with this plan, we are currently preparing a sensor-integrated actuator and STEP 1 of the smart actuator development.
We are also developing a low-friction cylinder type hydraulic linear actuator that has minimized friction, and through our experience in developing and producing many different customized models, we plan to produce standard products.
