In November 2014, KNR has demonstrated “Teleoperation of HYDRA-UW2” again.

The robot located at KNR Systems in Yongin(near Seoul) is controlled by the operator at URAI2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Instead of LTE service in Korea, some services like data roaming on a smartphone, Facetime on iPad, and wifi on a Notebook PC were used for the teleoperation. Time delay was about 1.2 ~1.5 seconds.
It showed the demonstration would be possible at any other exhibitions here after without moving whole systems abroad.
